There is also a time lag
The impacts we are experiencing today, are due to emissions from 20 to 50 years ago: from the 1970’s -2000’s!
Since then emissions have greatly escalated.
This means we are already locked in to more severe impacts in the decades to come.
This time lag means the emissions we release today will directly and profoundly affect our own children and grandchildren from 2050 onwards.
It means we must act now to protect our world, our families and future generations.
